Heath Ledger  was a talented Aussie actor who ironically began his career playing a gay character in Australia. In 2005/6 Ledger became a permanent fixture in popular culture through his award-winning performance as Enis del Mar in "Brokeback Mountain." The buzz and Academy-Award nomination emerging from Brokeback overshadowed his two other releases and brilliant performances from in the same year in "Brothers Grimm" and "Lords of Dogtown". In Dogtown, Ledger portrays the legendary skateboard champ, Skip Engblom. The gifted actor died in New York on January 22, 2008. Months later, his compelling performance as The Joker in "The Dark Knight" was released to critical acclaim and the highest grossing box office draw in history. His remarkable passion, beauty and talent will live on through his films.

For your consideration are the hero corduroy Levis worn by Heath as Skip. They are vintage Levi's cords in a faded black/chocolate brown color clearly identifiable in the film. These cords have been modified for the film with some deliberate fading and breaking in and a slightly shortened length to give Heath more freedom while skateboarding. The size is approx. 36 x 30. They would make a great display piece or a cool addition to a vintage wardrobe. It is also a bargain for a Heath Ledger fan, costing less than a quarter of any similar trousers from Brokeback. It comes with two certificates of authenticity.

May he who has brought us so many moments of joy, rest in peace.
