Andy's career was ignited a decade ago by a leading role in a very peculiar film, "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag". Oddly enough, the muddled premise made for pretty good comedy. It is not the masterpiece that the Coen brothers could have made of it, but it worked because the characters were very well developed. This role was a double edged sword for Andy. It threw him into the spotlight, but the premise of the film was not exactly a career builder. You can picture his poor agent trying to explain to studio execs that "Andy can do romantic comedy without body parts!" So Andy did a lot of TV including "Providence" and "House M.D.". And he got the lead in an amazing dark comedy film called "My Tiny Universe". But it all came together in the cinema-TV hybrid series "Huff" on Showtime where Andy plays Teddy, the severely mentally ill brother of a psychologist. The quirky ensemble cast made this award-winning series one of the most interesting and compelling series ever to hit pay TV.
