Don Johnson got his first taste of fame and buzz when he starred opposite Sal Mineo in an off-Broadway play that dealt with homosexuality in prisons. He appeared and starred in films including the Sci-Fi cult classic "A Boy and his Dog", but nothing got him noticed like the hit TV series "Miami VIce" in 1984. Don Johnson and "Miami Vice" defined fashion, style and even defined Miami for the 1980s into the 90s. Of course he went on to perform in many films and TV series, but very few series or films have ever created the kind of culture-changing impact of Miami Vice. What most people don't realize is that his famous series "Nash Bridges" had 10% more episodes than the 111 episodes of "Miami Vice" shot over 7 seasons. Like "Miami Vice", "Nash Bridges" had longevity, solid ratings, innovative fashion, a slick car, even a quirky sidekick. In fact, it is astounding that a decade later the same formula could be reworked with such success into the new millennium for 6 more years!
For your consideration is a pair of jeans worn by Don Johnson in the hit series "Nash Bridges". The jeans were worn in multiple episodes throughout the series and were 1 of 2 pairs of Levis 501s that were documented by wardrobe in the 6-year course of the hugely popular series. The other pair was also sold off making these jeans the only pair avaialble from this series. These size 35/34 jeans are faded denim in good screenworn condition. The right pant leg was rolled up about 4 inches for at least 7 years when last worn by Don Johnson in 2001. They come with a storied past and a certificate of authenticity. $99.
